OpenDmx support 2011-12-24 14:45:19 DAXweb
i think if this application have the OpenDmx support (example with this interface http://www.enttec.com/index.php?main_menu=Products&pn=70303&show=downloads) will be absolutely perfect! There aren't OpenDmx application in Mac Osx Leopard 10.5.
Dmx web not seeing USB 2011-12-12 16:20:04 Mat

Qlab integration 2011-09-19 06:08:51 Alberto Santos Bellido
Thanks for creating this software. Is it possible to call dmx addressed cues from Qlab through midi? Is that the way of integrating both programs? Thanks
MIDI control of miniStageConsole via MultiPlay software 2011-09-13 12:04:31 Eliott
I have a theatrical cue program (MultiPlay) that can send out a MIDI "note on" signal (or other type control signal) as one of the cues I control with a mouse click. I'd like this simply to fade in, then later increase fade, and later fade out a single LED Parcan via DMX. In MultiPlay, I will have to specify the output channel (in one field), and specify output data (there are two separate fields in which to enter data, which only accept integers). My questions are: will miniStageConsole recognize the MIDI coming directly from MultiPlay? Or would I need something like MidiYoke to link the two programs? How will I know what to enter in Multiplay's output channel and output data fields? I'm trying to determine if what I need to do is possible before buying the Enttec DMX Pro! Many thanks.
separate fade up and down times 2011-09-06 15:27:59 Maritza Ubides
Hi Glenn, This software would be absolutely perfect for my small dance studio setup if it only had separate fade up and fade down times. I know you mentioned adding this in 2009 but I downloaded the software and it doesn't have this feature. Is it possible that to add this in the very near future? Thank you so much!!
MIDI out 2011-07-10 10:31:22 GDmac
Been playing with TouchOSC to test controlling via MIDI, this works great. One missing feature is that miniStageConsole itself doesn't send MIDI out. That would be great to have some visual feedback on gear like the BCF2000 and TouchOSC.
DMXWeb on Mac OS X - USB port not recognized 2011-06-21 23:15:14 Rick G
Running DMXWeb on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard) - the USB port is not listed, for the one that the ENTTEC DMX USB Pro is plugged into. The device list on Snow Leopard for /dev/cu.* doesn't appear to have any USB devices these days (just a couple of Bluetooth ones). Can you suggest a work around for getting the code to work? Thanks, (shell example) ls -l /dev/cu.* crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 11, 3 Jun 18 23:58 /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Modem crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 11, 1 Jun 21 23:36 /dev/cu.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync
StageConsoleEXEv1.6.12.zip Corrupted 2011-04-11 14:03:55 Don O'Neil
I tried to download the StageConsoleEXEv1.6.12.zip updated file, but every zip tool I use says the file is corrupted. Can you re-post it please?
release date for some features 2010-12-10 20:11:38 David Schwartz
So out of curiosity when will a Link feature and a copy/paste for easy cue creation be added?
Error 62 Input past end of file 2010-10-27 14:15:14 C Wiseman
I created and shaved a show with Two Acts worth of cues. When I try to open the file, I get Error 62 Input past end of file. Is there a maximum ammout of cues that can be saved, or is there a way to edit the program to get past it
Having various problems 2010-10-19 00:36:19 Nick Kumamoto
Hey all, I've been trying to get StageConsole to work on my laptop to no avail. I was able to get version 1.5 to work just fine, but this version didn't seem to have the capability to record cues, or perhaps I couldn't figure it out. I tried using version 1.63 and in this version, I get an error message that says "level must be between 0 and 100". When I close this box, it immediately pops up again, requiring me to do a force-quit in order to close the program and making it unusable. I did copy over the .exe as per the instructions on the download site. I don't suppose any of you has a solution to this matter; I am trying to get this software working in time for the next show I light, which is just a few weeks out.
test on linux ubuntu 2010-10-02 06:19:53 Tita
I just tested the DMXweb on my ubuntu (10.04, ultimate netbook edition). Works fine. Just 2 problems: - Had to install the library libstdc++5, which is no more available on depot. - DMXweb looks for /dev/ttyS0 (serial)... but in USB, it is called /dev/ttyUSB0. I had to link ttyS0 to ttyUSB0
First Impressions 2010-09-28 06:39:19 GreenWing
Opened the box for my new JMS USB2DMX 'fat cable' last night. Downloaded drivers (including Artnet-DMX) and played with Freestyler for a while before realising that FS is best suited to music performances (I light amdram stage). Downloaded StageConsole this morning. Ticked the box for Artnet output and tested 4 channels on dimmer pack in under 30 mins!! Set mini scenes and cued sequentially in another 30 mins!! So far, highly intuitive at the simple level. Very pleased.
Loop markers in the Cue list? 2010-09-26 02:54:25 Nils Johansson
Hello Glenn! It would be nice to be able to loop a few Cues with the follow function without having to include all Cue numbers. A loop start and a loop end marker would do the job.
i have a wish 2010-08-28 12:32:06 Torstein

Issue when loading saved show 2010-08-10 21:19:35 Eric
When loading a saved show all my cues are messed up and theres nearly a hundred blank cues added in. Any thoughts?
Requests 2010-08-06 00:15:07 John Van Valkenburgh
Requests: 1. Add an output row of numbers to the top of the fader window that shows the current output from each channel, in percentage. I would really love this. 2. Make the entire program one window and like Windows Explorer - you can set the boundaries of a subwindow by dragging the border and it automatically changes the adjacent window instead of overlapping the adjacent window. 3. When the channel labels are too large for the blue boxes, mousing over (hovering over) them should pop up the whole name.
congrats. 2010-04-30 03:18:12 Dieter Demerre
Let me congratulate on this piece of software. It does just what it needs to do. Might I suggest, you - somewhere - leave an opening for versioning on your website, so one can more easily discover whether a potential interresting upgrade could be made ?
Open DMX USB 2010-01-04 17:11:44 David
I also vote for Open DMX USB support in miniStageConsole for Mac like Luc up there.. I was not aware that there would be such a difference in compatibility when I opted for Open DMX USB over the PRO version. The reason I chose Open DMX USB over PRO, besides lower cost, was that I do not need DMX input, only output, controlled via MIDI messages sent from Logic via virtual MIDI ports to the Open DMX USB. I would probably make a donation to support this development. What's the likelihood? Thanks.
crashing on laptop 2009-12-06 21:10:55 Jason
XP Service pack 2 on desktop. XP service pack 3 on laptop. Would this make a difference?
MSC works a treat on desktop but crashes on laptop 2009-12-03 06:18:45 Jason Smith
Hi all. Am wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem I have?? I have been working for some months now, building light shows using MSC on my desktop for my band's repertoire (around 60 songs). I am triggering MSC with midi notes from Cubase SX, which is also running backing tracks for the band. The combination of Cubase/MSC has been (and still is) running a treat on my desktop the whole time. Now that I have finished all our current songs, I have transferred all the data from desktop to laptop (which is what I use when performing), but MSC just crashes (almost immediately most of the time) on the laptop, when used in conjunction with Cubase (both programs run fine on their own). Laptop is running the same Windows XP, and the same Cubase SX. Both use Loopbe1 internal midi port. Laptop has higher specs than the desktop. It has got me stumped, and after so much work put into the light shows, I am desperate to get it sorted. Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated!
Patch Higher than 24? 2009-11-30 21:12:28 Kyle Sullivan
Hi, I love the software. We're looking to integrate this software to control lighting from within a Keynote presentation (using Applescripts and other supporting apps). One issues i'm having is that I'm getting some DMX "chatter" on channels higher than 24. It seems like random noise... I assumed that I could patch to DMX channels higher than 24. Am I correct in this or is it limited to accessing chs 1-24? Thanks in advance to whomever can help with this question.
Art-Net Support 2009-11-07 17:58:46 Chris Prezas
It would be a great addition to this controller for people who invested in art-net dmx interfaces instead of usb dmx interfaces. Thank You. Please email me if this gets added or have any questions.

MIDI Show Control 2009-10-21 10:03:05 Glenn Meader
I will be adding MSC support soon. Also separate fade and fade out times. And Art-Net support!
